PENGARUH DOSIS PEMUPUKAN UREA PADA TAHAP FENOLOGI YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP PRODUKSI BUAH SURIAN (Toona sinensis (A. Juss.) M. Roem.)

Abstract


Teknik peningkatan produksi benih surian melalui input pemupukan sampai saat ini belum diketahui. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemupukan urea pada tahap fenologi tertentu terhadap produksi benih surian . Penelitian dilakukan pada tegakan surian di Desa Sukajadi Kecamatan Wado, Kabupaten Sumedang. Pemupukan dilakukan pada fase fenologi yang berbeda yaitu: 1) berdaun, 2) berbunga, dan 3) daun rontok. Masing-masing diberi tiga dosis urea yang berbeda, yaitu: 1) kontrol, 2) 750 gr / pohon, dan 3) 1.500 g / pohon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh pupuk urea pada produksi buah dan benih ditentukan oleh tahap fenologi pohon pada saat pemupukan. Pemupukan menggunakan urea 750 gr / pohon selama tahap meranggas atau berbunga menghasilkan malai per pohon, buah per malai, dan buah per pohon lebih banyak secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan pemupukan selama tahap berdaun. Dalam perlakuan urea 1500 gr / pohon, tahap fenologi pohon tidak berpengaruh terhadap produksi buah dan benih.
