Penelition ini  bertuiuan   untuk   mengetahui  rasio  terbaik   humotex  terhadap tanah  atau gambut yang  dapat mem- berikan pertumbuhan  terbaik  dari tanaman jagung  {Zea mays L. ), Robinia  pseudoacacia  dan  Pinus  sylvestriS.

Hasilpenelitian  menunjukkan,   bahwa  rasio  terbaik   humotex  terhadap  tanah  adalah 1 : 1. Penam bahan  humotex terhadap   tanah  meningkatkan   pH  tanah  dan  penyerapan hara  esensial  oleh  tanaman yang mengakibatkan  peningkatan berat  kering   tanaman jagung  sebesar  8 0 -  100%.

Pencampuran   humotex  terhadap  gambut  pada rasio mak simum  dapat  meningkatkan pertu mbuhan jagung  15 kali, Robinia  pseudoacacia  15 kali  dan Pinus sylvestris  8 kali.
