ANALISIS BIAYA PENYULINGAN MINYAK GAHARU BUDIDAYA DI TENGGARONG, KALIMANTAN TIMUR

Abstract


Salah satu usaha untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah gaharu mutu rendah (medang, sapuan, sabak) dengan penyulingan untuk menghasilkan minyak. Minyak gaharu dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku beberapa produk seperti bahan baku parfum, kosmetik, dan obat-obatan tradisional. Penelitian penyulingan gaharu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rendemen minyak, produk sampingan, menganalisis biaya, pendapatan dan keuntungan maksimum selama satu periode penyulingan pada industri penyulingan skala rumah tangga. Penelitian dilaksanakan di industri penyulingan minyak gaharu berskala rumah tangga yang terletak di Kelurahan Rempanga, Kecamatan Loa Kulu Tenggarong, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan motivasi kepada berbagai pihak untuk dapat memanfaatkan kayu gaharu hasil budi daya berkualitas rendah seefisien dan semaksimal mungkin melalui diversifikasi produk dengan cara penyulingan untuk menghasilkan minyak gaharu bernilai tinggi. Prosedur pengamatan dilakukan secara langsung selama proses penyulingan. Nilai ekonomi diperoleh dengan menganalisis titik impas (BEP) dan pendapatan maksimum. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan rendemen   minyak gaharu sebesar 0,07%.  Pada tingkat produksi minyak gaharu sebanyak 30 mililiter (ml) per satu periode produksi dengan harga jual Rp 250.000/mL akan mencapai titik impas jika minyak gaharu yang dihasilkan sebanyak 1,93 ml dengan nilai sebesar Rp 482.159,88 atau Rp 16.071,99/ml (unit). Keuntungan usaha pada tingkat produksi 30 ml minyak gaharu sebesar Rp 3.616.830 (tanpa penjualan ampas serbuk dan hidrosol gaharu) dan sebesar Rp 8.316.830 (dengan penjualan ampas serbuk dan hidrosol gaharu).
