SIFAT FISIKO KIMIA MINYAK CUPRESUS (Cupressus benthamii) ASAL AEK NAULI, PARAPAT SUMATERA UTARA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat fisiko kimia minyak atsiri dari tanaman Cupressus benthamii Endl yang berasal dari arboretum Balai Penelitian Kehutanan Aek Nauli. Minyak atsiri diperoleh dengan cara menyuling daun segar dan daun layu menggunakan metode kukus selama 7 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyulingan daun layu menghasilkan rendemen minyak tertinggi sebesar 0,41%, dengan sifat fisiko kimia yaitu; berat jenis 0,889, indek bias 1,481, kelarutan alkohol 1:5, bilangan asam 3,8 mg KOH/g. Minyak atsiri Cupressus benthamii didominasi oleh ?-pinene (17,6%), sabinene (8,59%), 4-terpineol (6,56%), dan ?- terpentin (5,12%).
