PENGARUH ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH IBA TERHADAP KEBERHASILAN STEK PUCUK KALIANDRA (Calliandra calothyrsus Meisner)

Abstract


Energi biomasa berupa kayu dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan energi masyarakat pedesaan. Kaliandra (Calliandra calothyrsus Meisner) merupakan jenis kayu keras yang memiliki tekstur cukup padat, mudah kering dan sifatnya mudah terbakar, sehingga sangat ideal sebagai sumber energi berbasis biomasa seperti pelet kayu, kayu bakar dan kayu arang. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman penghasil kayu energi diperlukan teknik perbanyakan klon-klon unggul yang hanya dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik vegetatif diantaranya penyetekan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ZPT IBA yang terbaik untuk perbanyakan stek pucuk C. calothyrsus. Perbanyakan kaliandra dapat dilakukan tanpa penambahan ZPT IBA dengan persen berakar dan jumlah akar yang dihasilkan sebesar 88,76 % dan 3 buah. Pemberian ZPT IBA 750 ppm dapat meningkatkan jumlah akar 25 buah dengan persen berakar 76,25% pada stek pucuk kaliandra.
